Hi, I'm Anna!

I have always loved spending time in the natural world. As a child you could find me fishing for pike on frozen lakes, catching frogs at my Aunt's wedding reception, and exploring sand dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan. As an adult, I was able to share my love of being in nature with others when I worked as an Outdoor Educator at Nature's Classroom in Freedom, New Hampshire and at Teton Science Schools in Jackson, Wyoming.

I co-founded NYC Queer Birders in February 2020 as a way to meet other LBGTQ+ people in New York City who enjoyed birding in the company of others. If you're interested in birding with us, check out @queerbirders on Instagram or visit nycqueerbirders.com!

In 2020, I began taking photos of the birds I saw. Most photos are taken in New England, Michigan, and New York.

All photos are available on a sliding scale. To inquire or see more of my work, please email me at boidlovervt@gmail.com.
